The State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) provides aid and sustainable solutions for refugees, victims of conflict and stateless people around the world, through repatriation, local integration, and resettlement in the United States. PRM also promotes the United States' population and migration policies.

The Center for Gender & Refugee Studies (CGRS) is the nation’s leading organization supporting women asylum-seekers fleeing gender related harm, at both the practice and policy levels. CGRS works to impact the development of law and policy to protect women fleeing gender-based violence.

ECRE (European Council on Refugees and Exiles) is a pan-European network of 69 refugee-assisting non-governmental organisations that promotes a humane and generous European asylum policy. Together with our members, we promote the protection and integration of asylum-seekers, refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) based on values of human dignity, human rights and an ethic of solidarity.

Forced Migration Online (FMO) provides instant access to a wide variety of online resources dealing with the situation of forced migrants worldwide. Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. With 127 member states, a further 17 states holding observer status and offices in over 100 countries, IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. IOM works to help ensure the orderly and humane management of migration, to promote international cooperation on migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, including refugees and internally displaced people.

Founded on the belief that newly arriving populations have inherent capabilities when given opportunities, the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) provides people in need with critical resources to assist them in becoming integrated members of American society.

Refugees International advocates for lifesaving assistance and protection for displaced people and promotes solutions to displacement crises.

The Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) was established in 1982 as part of the Oxford Department of International Development (Queen Elizabeth House) at the University of Oxford. It has since won an international reputation as the leading multidisciplinary centre for research and teaching on the causes and consequences of forced migration. Its philosophy is to combine world-class academic research with a commitment to improving the lives and situations for some of the world’s most disadvantaged people.

Refworld contains a vast collection of reports relating to situations in countries of origin, policy documents and positions, and documents relating to international and national legal frameworks. The information has been carefully selected and compiled from UNHCR's global network of field offices, Governments, international, regional and non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and judicial bodies.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is responsible for protecting and assisting refugees in charge of all the world. UNHCR works worldwide on the basis of the Geneva Convention of 1951 to ensure that people who are at risk of persecution obtained in other countries asylum. According to its mandate, UNHCR has also the task of finding durable solutions for refugees. These include the voluntary repatriation, integration in the host country or resettlement in a third country. In many countries, UNHCR operates Humanitarian assistance programs for refugees, IDPs and returnees.
