Call Numbers

Library of Congress classification is very similar to the Dewey Decimal System you may remember from your high school library. Books are organized by subject, but instead of long strings of numbers on the label, there are shorter combinations of letters and numbers: easier for you to remember and find, and easier for us to put on the shelf in the right place. A broad outline of the LC system may help you to browse the library shelves for your topic: it contains links to subject areas for more detail.
