Subject-specific dictionaries are reference books that contain an alphabetical list of words with information about them that is specific to that particular subject and not necessarily generic like you would find in an average, everyday dictionary.
This dictionary of cognitive science terms was initiated by Dr. Michael Dawson, and introduced as a class project. The project was designed to give students the opportunity to learn more about the basic concepts of cognitive science, and also to learn about the delivery of information via the world wide web. This page is maintained by Dr. Michael Dawson and David Medler, and is protected by copyright.
Includes topics ranging from 'Abduction' to 'Writing', and each entry is covered from as many perspectives as possible within the domains of psychology, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, philosophy, and linguistics.
