Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and ResearchDr. Aaron Beck and his daughter, Dr. Judith Beck, founded the non-profit Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in suburban Philadelphia in 1994, to establish national and international training programs in Cognitive Therapy, frequently referred to as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), for health and mental health professionals and educators at all levels of experience and expertise. Another mission has been to help create or improve cognitive behavior therapy programs at universities, hospitals, community mental health centers, health systems, and other organizations. The Beck Institute also provides clinical care and research consultation.
