After reviewing Section 4.8 of the textbook, you will write a persuasive argument essay. You may choose your own topic using Gale’s Opposing Viewpoints database. You will need to begin with a narrative hook to get the reader’s interest and thesis statement in the introductory paragraph, include as many body paragraphs as necessary (at least five) to acknowledge and explain any points of view different from yours, use a variety of sources to back up your argument, summarize your main point to reinforce your thesis, and refer to your introductory narrative. You must use multiple sources for this paper and your sources need to be cited internally and externally (Works Cited page). NOTE: Refer to the off-limit list of topics before finalizing your topic.
