This guide is to help you get information on a variety of tests, measurements, and assessment scales. It ranges from finding information about an instrument to finding a copy of the actual instrument.
Instruments can be found in a variety of ways. Some can be found in peer-reviewed articles using the library's databases, some are included in print anthologies of tests and measures, and some can be found for free, as well as for a fee, on the Internet. You may also have to contact the person who created the instrument if it is not available any other way and this may also involve a fee. In all cases, if you are going to use an instrument, you should obtain written permission to use it as instruments are copyrighted.
You may also want to refer to the FAQ/Finding Information About Psychological Tests page listed below from the American Psychological Association, and if you have further questions on how to use this guide, contact me using the information on the right-hand side of this guide or use the link to our Ask A Librarian service in the box to the left.
