Creating Effective Research Assignments is a guide borne from librarians observations of students' approaches to research. After extensive experience teaching library instruction sessions, helping students at the reference desk, via chat, phone, and individual research consultations, we observed that course research assignments can often leave students feeling uncertain and unclear as to how to successfully conduct their research assignments and projects. This guide is designed to offer guidance and understanding of the research process.
