The mission of the Center for Invasive Species & Ecosystem Health is to serve a lead role in development, consolidation and dissemination of information and programs focused on invasive species, forest health, natural resource and agricultural management through technology development, program implementation, training, applied research and public awareness at the state, regional, national and international levels.

Conducts the educational and scientific functions of the Museum and is a hub for research, education and conservation of the Sonoran Desert Region.

At the Department of Plant Biology, we investigate fundamental mechanisms of plant development and function by applying advanced methods in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology, imaging and bioinformatics.

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is a not-for-profit research institute with a global vision to improve the human condition. Research at the Danforth Center will enhance the nutritional content of plants to improve human health, increase agricultural production to create a sustainable food supply, and provide the scientific ideas and technologies that will contribute to the economic growth of the St. Louis region and of the State of Missouri.

The John Innes Centre, is an independent, international centre of excellence in plant science and microbiology. Our mission is to carry out excellent fundamental and strategic research, towards generation of economic and societal impact; to train scientists; to make our findings available to society.

The MSU-DOE Plant Research Laboratory, the ‘PRL’, is a research institute located on the campus of Michigan State University, with major funding from the US Department of Energy (DOE) bringing together a group of experimental biologists to foster the development of cooperative research programs involving multidisciplinary approaches; a unique community of scholars with a rare, energizing esprit de corps, dedicated to answering fundamental questions in plant biology; and, our goal: To provide a broad and thorough scientific education in modern plant biology.

The mission of the Poisonous Plant Research Laboratory is to identify toxic plants, isolate and identify plant toxins, determine the mechanism of toxicity, document toxin metabolism and clearance from tissues, develop diagnostic and prognostic procedures, identify conditions of poisoning, and develop management strategies, antidotes, treatments and other recommendations to reduce losses, insure product quality and promote animal and human health.
