Digital Literacy Training: PowerPoint

What is it?

PowerPoint is part of the Microsoft Office suite of software. It can be used to create electronic slides which are usually used for presentations and reports. You can record your presentations to create a video version of your slideshow with your own narration, with or without your webcam image.

Why do I need to learn it?

PowerPoint can be used to create slideshows that include:

• Text, images, sound, 3D images and video media
• Custom animations to make text fade in or out, move or flash
• Slides which appear automatically, or with the click of the mouse or button
• A recording of your presentation - create a video with your own narration, with or without your webcam image
