Stubbs: The Scholarly Conversation

ENL 111 main research project with professor Stubbs

Following the Scholarly Conversation

A scripted interview essentially fits into "the scholarly conversation." Scholars and researchers review past research, exchange and create their own ideas, and are then cited by others in their respective fields advancing the collective knowledge. In doing this, we build on existing knowledge, identify gaps, and propose new findings/writings. Looking for similar articles or research is sometimes called, "citation mining," which makes your findings more cohesive and faster. Creating a scripted interview, or even contributing to your respective program/major, as a voice among your peers is becoming a part of this scholarly conversation!
